NYC School of Data 2026 Volunteer Application

BetaNYC is looking for volunteers to help out at NYC School of Data! As a volunteer, you play an important role in making sure that the event runs smoothly and everyone has fun. You spend one part of the day helping out and the other part of the day as a conference attendee. Fill out this application if you are interested in working with our team (we're friendly!) to bring New Yorkers together around civic tech, open data and design, and celebrating the NYC Open Data Law's birthday.

Where: CUNY School of Law, 2 Ct Square W, Long Island City

When: Friday March 27 (setup), Saturday March 28 (NYC School of Data), and/or Sunday March 29 (UnSchool of Data) - (4+ hour shifts)

Who are we looking for? We're looking for people who are friendly; people who know when to follow and when to lead; people who like to solve problems; people who love producing great experiences for others; people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and who understand it takes a village! We are passionate about civic tech, NYC, and inclusive community events— it would be great if you are too but it is not a prerequisite. Bring your experience or come to learn! We hope you use the experience to build connections and find a home in our community.
