For this year’s National Day of Civic Hacking event, a number of government organizations will collaborate to gather insights on how to improve NYC’s 311 data set. The Manhattan Borough President, Community Board members and district office staff, Mayoral agencies, and NYC’s civic hacking community will gather to develop insights and demystify data in the service of community decision making - and we need volunteers to make it happen!
When: Saturday, 23 September 2017, 9:00am to 6:30pm
Where: Rise New York, 43 W.23rd Street, 2nd Floor, Manhattan, New York City
We have several volunteer opportunities available in roughly 2.5 hour shifts:

Unfortunately, due to the structure of this event, we won’t be able to include volunteers in the data jam or classroom portions of the event, but this is an exciting and inclusive event with plenty of opportunities to engage with members and leaders of civic tech at the kickoff, during lunch, or at the end of day presentations and happy hour.
